Is kindness worth fighting for?

As much as I hate to admitting it, I am a considerate guy. People like this are a dying breed. Everywhere I look now-a-days there seems to be a lack of neighborly kindness. Why is it so hard to be kind to other? When I was a little kid I was always preached about the so called, “golden rule.” This was a proverb that was intended to persuade our society to treat someone the way that you would want to be treated. By the looks of things, not a lot of people were brought up with that saying. Through thick and thin, I will still bite my lip and be who I am no matter what.

Today sucks….

Is sushi worth fighting for?

Today after church I went to, “Hibachi Grill,” to eat lunch with my family. Nothing unusual, same old same old. Until!!! Check this out, a gorgeous girl started walking towards the sushi bar at the same time I was. i was like, “HELL YEAH,” sushi + a hot girl = amazing meal. Even though I knew I probably wasn’t going to even talk to her. haha. As we both approached up to the sushi bar I noticed she was looking directly at the salmon roll, WHICH IS MY FAVORITE SUSHI ROLL!!!!! And she looked at me and noticed the same thing about me. I had to think fast, how was I going to get that last piece of precious provender? I said, ” Excuse me, watch out there is a puddle in front of you.” While she looked down I jolted in front of her and snatched the very last morsel. All I could do after that was smile and whisper to her that there was never a puddle! haha

Are friends worth fighting for?

I think I have many friends, they are very sundry. Though, lately I have been contemplating on why I care about them so much. A majority of them feel more like acquaintances than actually friends anyways. The people that I thought I could held dear; the people that assured me that they would never hurt me were the ones that had their finger on the trigger. No one has been on my side, it hurts to realize that the people you once looked at as supporter fell apart like cheap toilet paper. I actually looked up the real definition of the word, “friend,” it was kind of a funny concept to grasp.

 Is love worth fighting for?

I thought I knew what was worth fighting for at one point in my life, but with a hasty glimpse of fate my once perfect fantasy collapsed in front of my eyes. I will never forget the feeling of emptiness that came over me. Love had cloaked my consciousness and hung me out to dry. With happiness’s embrace fleeting, I said, “Is love worth fighting for?”…….
